Yes, the giant technology corporations dominate our world today !!

But, they do depend on the vast army of small, mid-size businesses to serve their customers to connect them to resources they need. And therefore, any company who wants to be the part of the game must have a clear perception of their supply and demand chains.

So what do you think the perceived status of the supply chain as a discipline and a profession in today's world?

I believe, the reality is a high percentage of companies especially in emerging markets, still do not view the supply chain as equally important as other disciplines, manufacturing, sales, finance.

Industry 4.0, digitization, big data, the blockchain...

OK, for leading companies, these are already in their routines. But for the rest, they are still just fancy words. Why? because, awareness about even the foundation of supply chain management practices is still very low at many small, mid-size or even large enterprises.

Also, technology considerations are conflicted; deciding on what to buy, how to implement and the cost off-course. On top, it is managed with non-deep pockets.

And there are more, we all talking about finding multi-skilled professionals, retention in a high-speed changing environment is another major obstacle. But whatever the challenges we have to be alert and identify the opportunities at each stage of our business life cycle.

should have a strategy in place designed to transform this miss-perception

That is the Game Changer.
